AV Installation · Edinburgh & Scotland

Video over IP, planned for your network.

Blustream and ZeeVee systems for distributing AV between sources and displays over a professionally designed network.

The signal path

Move the picture through the network.

Encoders place source content onto the network; compatible decoders deliver it to the destination screens. The switching infrastructure and control platform complete the installation.

Blustream IP250UHD

1 Gb

IP250UHD-TX / IP250UHD-RX

A transmitter and receiver platform for distributed commercial AV, with Dante audio integration. Consider it where the required image formats fit the IP200-compatible platform.

  • Up to 4K30 4:4:4 or 4K60 4:2:0
  • Visually lossless compression
  • Managed 1 Gb network
  • PoE and fibre SFP options

Blustream IP350UHD

1 Gb

IP350UHD-TX / IP350UHD-RX

For higher-format 4K routing within Blustream’s IP300-compatible platform. Network design and receiver selection are matched to the intended video, audio and peripheral paths.

  • Up to 4K60 4:4:4
  • Visually lossless compression
  • Dante and AES67 audio support
  • Managed 1 Gb network

ZeeVee ZyPerUHD60

1 Gb

Compressed AV over IP

An encoder/decoder range for compressed 4K distribution over a managed gigabit network. The exact endpoint variant is selected around connections and application requirements.

  • Compressed 4K 4:4:4
  • 1 Gb network architecture
  • USB and RS-232 support
  • Dante availability depends on variant

ZeeVee ZyPer4K

10 Gb

SDVoE AV over IP

A range for uncompressed 4K60 4:4:4 distribution over 10 Gb Ethernet. Consider it where image fidelity and low-latency presentation justify the network requirements.

  • SDVoE platform
  • Uncompressed 4K60 4:4:4
  • 10 Gb network architecture
  • Video-wall and multiview options

Network planning

The infrastructure is part of the AV system.

Switching and bandwidth

Plan port speeds, stream counts, switch uplinks and headroom. A 1 Gb endpoint and a 10 Gb SDVoE endpoint impose different requirements; the network is sized for the selected platform and routing patterns.

Multicast and power

Confirm switch compatibility, multicast configuration, IGMP requirements and any VLAN design with IT. Where endpoints use PoE, check the required standard and the total switch power budget.

Control and commissioning

Agree discovery, management software and staff routing controls. Test every required source-to-screen route, resolution changes, audio paths, USB use and recovery after a restart.

Typical applications

Where networked distribution can fit.

Hospitality

Different content across the venue.

Route sources to bar screens, dining areas and private rooms, with agreed controls and audio arrangements for each area.

Corporate & education

Connect shared sources and rooms.

Distribute presentation or teaching content between selected spaces. Assess latency, desktop readability and any keyboard or mouse requirements.

Signage & large displays

Build around the destinations.

Consider distribution to information screens, video walls or multiview layouts. Processing features and licences are confirmed for the chosen products.

Common questions

What to establish before choosing hardware.

Can Blustream and ZeeVee endpoints be mixed?

Do not assume interoperability. Compression, transport and control differ between platforms, and even product generations within a manufacturer need compatibility checks. We specify a supported combination for the required functions.

Can we use the existing office network?

Possibly, subject to a survey and IT agreement. Available ports, throughput, multicast support, switch configuration, power and security requirements all need checking.

Does 18 Gbps HDMI require an 18 Gbps network port?

Not on a compressed system designed for a 1 Gb network. The HDMI interface rate and the network stream rate describe different parts of the system. Image format, compression and network requirements are verified together.

Is AV over IP automatically latency-free?

No. Latency varies by platform, processing mode and configuration. We select and test around the application rather than promising zero delay for every system.

Is it a replacement for every HDMI matrix?

It is another approach to routing. For a compact system, an HDMI matrix may be appropriate; for distributed destinations or future expansion, networked AV may offer advantages. We assess the building and requirements first.
