Projector options

Two approaches to a large image.

Flexible installation projection

Panasonic PT-FRQ60WEJ

A laser installation projector for presentation and detailed visual content. The zoom and lens shift provide useful flexibility when locating the projector in an existing room.

  • 6,000 lumens
  • 1-chip DLP · Quad Pixel Drive 4K output
  • 2.0× optical zoom
  • Horizontal and vertical lens shift
Epson EB-810E product or range imagery

Ultra-short-throw laser projection

Epson EB-810E

Designed to sit close to the projection surface, keeping the presenter out of a conventional long projection path. The room lighting, surface and installation geometry remain important.

  • 5,000 lumens · 3LCD
  • 4K Enhancement technology
  • 80–160″ image-size range
  • Ultra-short-throw positioning

Room & screen

Choose around the projection geometry.

Throw distance

The Panasonic uses a conventional installation lens with zoom and shift; the Epson is designed to sit very close to the surface. We check the actual lens-to-screen distance.

Light and surface

Screen material, daylight and room lighting determine usable contrast. Lumens alone do not establish whether fine text will be readable.

Mounting and sources

Allow for mounting structure, ventilation, service access, power, cable routes and the content devices. We test the intended resolution and signal path.

FAQs

Plan beyond the projector.

Are these both native 4K panel projectors?

They use different image-generation methods: Panasonic Quad Pixel Drive and Epson 4K Enhancement. We explain the relevant image performance for your content rather than treating the labels as identical.

Can we project onto an existing wall?

Sometimes. Flatness, colour, surface finish and room light all affect the result. We survey the surface and may recommend a suitable projection screen.

Other display choices
