Speech that reaches the seating
Assess the room’s reflections and the distance between microphones and speakers. Loudspeaker placement and microphone technique are central to intelligibility and feedback control.

In a worship space, clear speech and comfortable listening depend on more than equipment power. We consider the acoustic character, seating, microphone positions and volunteer workflow before recommending changes to the existing installation.
Assess the room’s reflections and the distance between microphones and speakers. Loudspeaker placement and microphone technique are central to intelligibility and feedback control.
Choose screen or projection positions around sightlines, ambient light and the building’s appearance. Text, lyrics and slides need to be readable from the furthest intended seats.
Agree a normal service setup, charging procedure and a small set of useful controls. Additional event or visiting-speaker inputs should not make routine operation unnecessarily complicated.
An illustrative room & zone plan
Use this as a starting point for a site discussion. It is an example planning schedule, not a completed project or a prescribed equipment package.
| Area | System requirement | How it is operated |
|---|---|---|
| Lectern or speaking position | Consistent speech pickup and a clear microphone routine. | Simple mute and channel identification. |
| Main seating | Appropriate speech and presentation coverage. | Agreed normal operating levels. |
| Overflow or adjacent space | An appropriate feed where required. | Independent level or source arrangements. |
| Hearing assistance area | A designed listening system for intended users. | Documented checks and visible user information. |

Hearing-loop design
An Ampetronic C Series driver can form part of a hearing-loop system, with the loop layout, metal loss and commissioning requirements established first.

Survey, installation & handover
Older or protected buildings may require particular agreement about fixings and cable routes. We coordinate access and working methods with the building’s responsible team, consider discreet equipment positions and plan service access. Any required permissions for the building are established before installation proceeds.
At handover, the agreed operating tasks are demonstrated with the venue’s actual sources and controls. We discuss the documentation and support arrangements needed to keep those tasks manageable after installation.
Our installation process ›Your questions
Equipment and placement can help, but they do not remove the room’s reverberation. We assess the acoustic conditions and explain where operational or acoustic measures may be needed.
Potentially. We assess their condition, coverage and compatibility against the required result before deciding what can be reused.
No. The loop design, background magnetic noise and building metalwork affect performance. The system needs appropriate design, measurement and handover checks.
